OOC: Power Outages

Unfortunately due to the heatwave, the game server may experience some random downtime. I wish there was something I could do about this beyond letting you all know here on the wiki. I'm not, however, the hydro company. ;)

The best guess I have is that the rolling outages are due to grid overuse since the temperatures have been between 30-40C (86-104F) the last few days, and everyone is running their A/C's.

Heatwave is expected to break on Friday… though hopefully there won't be much downtime in the next few days. There is a UPS that lasts approximately 45 minutes, and the hydro company is generally good at getting things back up and running within a half hour.
