DALLAS, TX - Police are investigating a robbery and kidnapping after a woman entered the Cerebral Deli in the Preston Forest Shopping Center. Security footage shows an unknown woman approaching the deli counter, where a verbal altercation seems to have taken place. The woman made a lunge over the counter, and a fight ensued.
After fighting valiantly, shop-owner Toby Houston was knocked unconscious and dragged away from the scene. The woman returned moments later and emptied out the cash drawer taking an undisclosed amount of money.
No weapon was seen.
Police said the woman was wearing an oversized grey sweater, dress pants, and wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat.
Summer Houston, the owner's daughter, was visibly distraught. "My father is an extremely strong man. That someone
could just waltz in here and take him is a bit unnerving." Stating further, "It is regrettable, but in order to not impede with the investigation, Cerebral Deli will remain closed until further notice."
