Pizza, Pasta, and a Delivery

Una Bella Pizza Parlor

Una Bella is a very large, open and sparkling place. Corrugated metal decorates the walls, the rounded edges jutting out about an inch or so to make it look as though one is standing inside a large package of boxed food. The floor is likewise made up of metal tiles, furthering the atmosphere. A few small chrome tables are set about the pizzeria with a tall counter and stools lining the walls.
A large counter spans the length of one wall, behind the glass one can find a variety of different luncheon meats, as well as vegetables, salads and hot foods for easy boxed lunches. A large pizza oven and a grill can also be found here, to create pizzas and grilled sandwiches.
A full menu is listed on a sign above the counter.

After getting a call from Mignonette, Andra made her way to the Pizza Parlor to await on her boss for the items she needs to deliver. Her clothing is more on the casual side now that she isbasicly off work. Tshirt and jeans with sneakers upon her feet. A pair of thin blue rimmed glasses rest upon her nose while she looking over a newspaper that was left in the booth. A bottle of water is resting near her proving she might have already ordered something while waiting for Mignonette to arrive.

—-

It doesn't take long, for Mignonette to arrive, the woman up to her usual standards, at least in terms of being on time for meetings. She's dressed not as professionally as she usually is, but she certainly seems to be intending to make a statement. Perhaps she's just trying to get herself out of a funk. The briefcase over her shoulder is a little out of keeping with the rest of her outfit, and it's chock full to boot, but, she carries it off well enough, as she slips inside, looking around the rather packed parlour, until she spots her courier. Onward, into the breech and all that.

—-

Andra tilts her head while she reads over the paper, on a article of all the recent attacks in the area it would seem. She shakes her head slightly and picks up her bottle of water sipping from it. Her gaze drifts upwards and she offers a smile to Mignonette as she spots the other. A friendly wave is offered. "Hello Mignonette." Well the other is looking back to her normal self it would seem.

—-

Mignonette manages to wend her way over to the table Andra's managed to wrangle away from the hoards of college students peppering the parlour, setting down the briefcase with a huff, "I should have brought a manservant." Not that she has one of those, but, "I hope you weren't waiting long," said as she's sliding into one of the three remaining free chairs at the table, "And thank you for agreeing to meet after work hours. Did you order yet?"

—-

Andra tilts her head while peering curiously at Mignonette at the manservant part. She grins a bit and hums before shaking her head. "Naw, not long at all. An its not a problem. I have the night off from the Hotel so it worked out." A finger is pointed to the water. "Just something to drink and some cheese bread. Figured I'd wait for you to got here."

—-

"A girl can dream, can't she?" A flash of a smile, as Mignonette settles in, ordering an italian soda, strawberry, when the waitress comes over, and an order of garlic knots, "I'll make sure to add this to your overtime then." She opens out the briefcase, pulling out one sealed courier folder after another, "I know, there's ten of them, going to eight different places." Before she gets to the business of delineating where each should be delivered, she adds, "What are you in the mood for? My treat."

—-

Andra chuckles softly and nods with a grin. "True." She says with an amused tone while she leans against the table, arms folded before her. Her gaze drifts over the folders and another nod is seen as Mignonette starts explaining about them. "Alright.." There's a blink. "Really?" Is questioned with a smile. "Well, as I'll be delivering this stuff when I leave I'll just get two slices of the cheese pizza and a soda." Caffeine is good with pizza after all!

—-

Mignonette shakes her head, "I wouldn't do that to you, Andra. You'd be up half the night. Tomorrow is fine, except for one. Mrs. Winters wants her paperwork tonight, so before 9 PM." As it's barely five o'clock just yet, that's plenty of time to eat and drive. There's no mistaking the fact that Migs' lips press down into a thinned line, clearly not a fan of the client from hell that is Mrs. Daniel Winters. "Both of these are for her." She begins to arrange them for ease of deliver, "The main courthouse," she pauses as the waitress delivers her soda and the garlic bread and knots, "Michaels, their main office." She pauses, sipping her soda, before she picks up a knot and continues, somehow managing to eat without smudging garlic and butter all over her envelopes. Or rather, soon to be Andra's envelopes.

—-

Chance enters the scene with cane in tow, stepping down a portion of sidewalk and coming to a stop before the entrance to the pizzeria and slipping within. There's a brief glancing about but for the most part his attention is set forward and his three feet carry him in that direction, to the counter. "Hi," he draws on, speaking politely to the young gent behind it, "I need about… all of your food for a small present to an associate of mine. I'll be paying in cash." He allows that linger for a time before breaking into a grin and leaning forward against his cane. "Kidding, honestly, I just need to pick up my order. It's under 'Chance', yeah, thanks."

He turns about to look at the shop and to the places he hadn't bothered to look toward. As he stands there at the main counter, Chance spots Mignonette and company. He checks his watch and then knits his eyebrows, debating. After a look over his shoulder, he gives a wave with his cane while leaning his weight off his right leg.

—-

Andra ohs softly and smiles while nodding. "Alright.." She offers softly. She is use to doing work at night though, being in a vampire hotel means she works at night after all. As the waitress comes back and reaches over to pick up the envelopes so they escape anything. "That's not a problem. I can them to her when I leave here." Andy does her job well, she always gets the right envelope to the right people in record time. The door is heard opening and she glances towards the new person to join the parlor, a friendly smile is offered as Chance looks over to she and Mignonette before she turns her attention back to Mig.

—-

One of the knots is finished, before she continues, "The upside to this job, is that most people close after five. She's just going out of her way to be difficult." Messy divorces tend to get that way, "The county clerk," she continues, before Andra's looking away gets her attention, and she follows the younger woman's line of sight until it stops at the brunette with the cane, and she lifts a hand, part greeting, part invitation, in response to his wave, "Smithson and Barney, Jacobs, and the last needs to be dropped off at the DA's office. I'd prefer if you did that one first tomorrow, so that I can get the yelling over with before lunchtime."

—-

Chance respectfully tips the invisible hat he wears in Andra's direction before noting the waving by Mignonette. He smiles. The man lowers his cane and points to himself before pointing over to them with a questioning inclining of his head. He'd rather not like to yell across the distance and with a short, voiceless gasp and him lowering his brows he nonverbally tries his hand at wondering what Mignonette's waving invitation is about while he waits for his order to come.

—-

Andra goes back to looking at the envelopes, a small sticky pad is taking out and she scribbles a few notes on them before sticking them to the right envelope. "Sure thing. There get it first and then I can go back the rest of the places." With a small yellow tab on each one she picks them up and sticks them into her shoulder bag so there out of the way. The one she is to deliver tonight is left out to make sure it is taken care of. "Friend of yours?" This is questions to Mignonette as she catches her waving towards the man with the can.

—-

Mignonette waits for Andra to finish her annotations, and put away the tomorrow deliveries, before she nods, "I'd appreciate it. I don't think we're out of the woods on that one." She does pull out one of the menus that are always at the tables, even as she responds to Chance, a hand indicating one of the free chairs at the table she and Andra are sitting at, "An acquaintance. We met at Cameron's." She doesn't do more than gesture, though, seeing that the man's in the pickup window, such as it is and all.

—-

Chance stops playing mime-charades at the pointing to the empty chair and he drops his hand down to his side before turning about in order to take hold of his order. He leans his cane against his side and reaches into a pocket for his wallet, so he can pay, and once that is done and over with he takes the two pizza boxes. "Oh, no, please, keep the change," he murmurs it amiably before nodding when asked if he can handle things. With the boxes, he turns and takes up his cane. Though he steps over, Chance doesn't take a seat. He looks from Mignonette to Andra. "Hey there, I'm Chance."

—-

Andra ahs softly and nods to Mignonette before picking up one of the garlic knots and takes a bit from it. About this time Chance wanders over and she blinks while peering up at him. A smile and nod is seen. "Hi, I'm Andra. Nice to meet you."

—-

The soda is moved away from the side of the table that's still empty, allowing room for boxes to be set down, if needed, as Mignonette sees Chance start to make his way over towards their table. "So nice to see you again, Mr. Chance. I was going to invite you to join us, but I can see that you've already made plans for the evening." There's the slight hint of a question there, but Mignonette doesn't press, "I see you managed to find the best Italian in Dallas. You really must have good sources."

—-

"I suppose I ought to stop calling myself that. Edward's just fine, ladies." To the best of his abilities, Chance even bows his head politely once more before relaxing into a smile. He glances over to the pair of boxes and then leans his weight against his cane with a shake of his head. "A friend of mine is absolutely dying to have pizza, so it's apparently my duty to feed them. But these clothes? Nah, old and ratty, I bet they're older than my grandmother. You two, though, are positively stunning for an early evening like this."

—-

Andra keeps her friendly smile and nods to Chance, or well Edward. "Edward then." Is offered with a friendly tone while she wipes her fingers off on a napkin from the garlic knot. They may be good but there messy! She blinks a moment and a soft heh escapes her while she glances back to the table and takes a sip from her drink before speaking again. "Thanks.. That's nice of you to say."

—-

"Your grandmother must be exceptionally well-preserved, Mr. Chance." There no small amount of humour in her tone, as she gives the man a once over, "But I do thank you for your compliment." A tip of her head is offered in acknowledgement, "But we shouldn't keep you, unless your friend enjoys cold pizza." A segue, to allow the man to depart if he likes, though Mignonette gives no indication that she's dismissing him in the least. Simply said, she's trying to be polite, rather than overbearing.

—-

"It's all in the genes, all this beauty and longevity," teases Chance before quieting down, looking between the pair of women again. He positively beams at things but he is given the chance to depart and he takes a step back, dragging his cane with him. "I'll have to ask them, just in case. It was nice seeing you, again, we'll have to do it more often. It was a pleasure meeting you, too, Andra. Do keep an eye out for her? You know, I hear she's a magnet for all sorts of crazy things," as lingering as he would like to become, he does indeed begin to depart with another wave of his cane. He grins and then leaves.

—-

Andra glances curiously to Mignonette then back to Chance as he goes to leave, a friendly smile and nod is seen. "Have a good night.. An yes I do try and keep an eye on her for sure." This offered while she looks back to Mignonette. What better protection then a witch whom can control fire after all.

—-

"Oh, I don't know that it's all in the genes." But that's lightly said, as she watches Chance retreat from the table, taking his delivery with him, "Good evening, Mr. Chance, and I'm quite certain that we will." At his comment to Andra, she sniffs, with just a hint of the melodrama that saw her through a re-enactment of psycho, "My life is perfectly ordinary." A quirk of her lips in a smile, as he moves out of the restaurant, before she looks back to Andra, a blush rising on her cheeks, "I'm sorry, I completely forgot what we were talking about." Not something that -normally- happens to this Savoy.

—-

Andra glances after Chance and hums softly before she looks back to Mignonette and chuckles softly. "Its alright." This said with an amused tone. "Though.. It was about the DA I believe."

—-

Mignonette's blush deepens, before she takes a deep breath and turns her attention pack to the task at hand, the colour on her cheeks slowly fading, "Yes, so the DA first, the others in whatever order you get to them. And at least the clerk should have some pouches for you to bring back, but you can leave them at the office. I'll be trying to come in for a few hours tomorrow. Probably in the afternoon, I have a nurse coming in in the morning." Finally, she turns to the menu, "Have you decided on what you'd like to order? I'm thinking about the fettucini alfredo. With steak." Living dangerously.

—-

Andra nods at this while she leans back against the chair. "Sure I don't see a problem with that. I'll bring them by when I get done taking everything to everyone." Easier then going to the office then getting back out and delivering stuff. A soft oh escapes her and she smiles. "I'll just stick with cheese pizza. Its really good here."

—-

"You've really been a godsend to the firm, Andra. You don't know how difficult it is to get really reliable couriers." Mignonette takes a moment to order. A large cheese pizza and the alfredo, before she returns to the table, "I've been meaning to ask you about that. About how you're finding working for the firm."

—-

Andra smiles at this, blushing slightly. "Thank you.. I'm glad I'm doing so well." She didn't think it would be all that hard, delivering things but she's found that it can be a bit crazy at times to say the least. With Mignonette off putting the order in she sips at her soda, and clears her throat slightly once the other is back at the table. "Well.. I like it, no complaints from me at all that's for sure."

—-

"I'm just wanting to be sure that we've taken care of everything you might need. I know that you sometimes have to go rather far afield, and Dallas is not exactly the smallest city. I was going to offer use of one of the company cars, if you prefer that to your bike." See? She has been paying attention, "And if anyone gives you any difficulty, I hope you'll let me know right away." The problem with the phrase 'Don't Kill the Messenger', is that is comes out of the fact that quite often, people do want to.

—-

Andra smiles and nods as she listens to Mignonette. She tilts her head and ohs softly. "Are you sure on that?.." This questioned with a curious tone. "I mean.. I do know how to drive and I have my license and all. Just don't have a car you know?" She smiles and nods. "Well I appreciate that.. But I have to say everyone has been rather civil with me."

—-

"Of course. That's what they're there for. Desiree should already have all of your information on hand, so just pick up a set of keys from her when you get to work tomorrow. She'll also give you a gas card, for when you're at work. So you'll only have to pay for the gas when you're using if after you're off work." She's just about to continue, when the waitress returns with their order, setting down the pizza on the free side of the table, and the pasta in front of Mignonette, "Thank you. No, no refill right now, thank you."

—-

Andra is rather surprised at this. "So.. I can use it even when I'm not working for you?" Needless to say this is all very new to her. Its not like any other job she had let her use a /car/. A smile is offered to the waitress thanking her as well.

—-

"Of course. It would be ridiculous of me to ask you to turn it in at the end of the afternoon. You're sometimes working when the rest of the office is closed." That's just how busy the poor courier has been, in the few weeks since she's come to work for the firm, "And with the things that have been going on in the city…" she doesn't elaborate, but then, she doesn't need to, "I'd feel safer knowing you had the safety of a car, when you're out in the evenings." She pauses, and then, "A minute," as she pulls out her cell, keying in a speed-dial number.

—-

Andra smiles and nods to this while she watches Mignonette. "Your putting a lot of trust in me if your letting me use a car though.. That means a lot." It also means she's doing her job well and that makes her feel good. She tilts her head while looking to her and nods while picking up a piece of pizza and takes a bite from it. Its still rather warm but she is alright with that.

—-

"We wouldn't have hired you, if we didn't think that we could trust you." A subtle reminder, but not a pointed one. They -are- a law firm after all, finding out about people is their business…partly. "And you've exceeded all of our expectations. But more than that, we want all of employees to feel as if they're family. So we do what we can."

—-

Andra hehs softly at that and clears her throat. "True.." She offers softly. Andy can't help but wonder how well the firm actually checked into her background. Especially with all the problems she had back in Virginia and the reason she basically was kicked out from home into the world of crazy. "I appreciated it Mignonette.."

—-

"It's the least that we can do, to make certain that all of our employees are safe, especially now." with that said, Mignonette tucks into her pasta, before it gets too cold, though she eats as neatly and properly as ever, with only a small amount of stiffness that betrays the fact that despite her demeanour and the change in dress, she's still recovering.

—-

Andra keeps her smile and nods to Mignonette. "Ya.. It seems to be getting rather crazy out there to say the least." She glances to the newspaper a moment. "Seems another was attacked yesterday or something." Her gaze goes back to Mig. "How is your back doing?" This questioned while she munches and chews on another bite of pizza.

—-

"It seems to be getting worse every day, with no hope of an end in sight." She pauses, twirling her fork idly in her pasta, "I can't imagine what the other victims are going through, but it can't be just one animal, could it? I mean, so many, so many so fast." She quiets, as she's asked the question, but her expression brightens, "Doing very well, no infection. I should be able to get the stitches out in about three to five days, which will be a relief."

—-

Andra nods slowly at this while taking in a slight breath. She isn't sure how she's managed to escape everything seeing how she works at night and often walks home from work to the apartment complex after all. "I hope they find out what is causing all this.. Somehow stop it so no one else is hurt. I'm afraid to even walk my dog anymore. People are so scared at the sight of anything with four legs anymore."

—-

"Yes, I noticed it when I was at the hospital, and with those multiple attacks on that family, people are looking at any victim as if they think if they get too close, they'll be next on the list." A glance down to her pasta, before Mignonette starts to eat again, not quite with her usual enthusiasm, "Do you have someone you can have walk with you, or some sort of protection to carry?"

—-

Andra nods slowly. "I wonder what what ever it is is only affecting that one family.. Well I suppose not really but it seems strange that all from that one family have been attacked you know?" She ahs faintly. "My boyfriend Austin walks with me sometimes.. But his still in Highschool so he has to be home at a certain time. I have Zorro but I don't want someone to shoot him thinking his this monster.."

—-

"It makes me wonder if the animal is actually contained in the area somehow, maybe someone's pet that is just running amok. I know some people let their dogs off leash, and most of the time, that can be harmless, but if this thing is doing this to people." Mignonette prods at a piece of steak, as she considers, "Would it be better for you if you walked him during the day? I wouldn't mind if you took extra time doing the day to take care of him."

—-

Andra hums faintly. "Its possible.. I use to let Zorro run off leash, but he always listen and he always comes back when I call him." She smiles a moment. "Ya.. I think if I walks him during the day it would be alright.. I've been doing it in the morning actually. Though his a big dog and more then one walk he tends to like."

—-

"The shift your schedule around, if you have to, and if you have too many courier jobs, we can arrange for someone else to do them, so that you can take care of him during the day, and not have to worry about being out alone at night. Your safety, and his are more important than a few deliveries you can't make." Mignonette finally sets her fork aside, having finished about half, a rare sight indeed, "I think I might need a carry out box."

—-

Andra nods at this. "Well.. I have to admit if I get to use a car the deliveries will go a lot faster then on the bike." This said with an amused tone. "I'm quick on the bike but its not that easy dodging some people and cars and the like." "I'll see how it goes and let you know how's that?" A soft oh escapes her and she smiles. "I'll go get you one." This offered while she stands up and heads on over to the counter to get a box for the pasta and what's left of the pizza. It takes a few moments before she is back at the tablet setting them both down.

—-

"My main concern is your safety. I couldn't stand it if I thought that asking you to do your job got you hurt, or worse, if I could have prevented something bad from happening, but I didn't think to do it." If there's one thing Mignonette knows, is that she doesn't want anyone to go through what she has, "Thank you, Andra," she offers as the young woman goes to get the boxes and returns, and she moves to help package everything up, "Alex is driving me tonight, we can get you to the delivery, and then drive you back home. The bike should fit in the back of the SUV."

—-

Andra offers a soft smile and nods while listening to Mignonette. "Alright.. Thank you Mignonette I appreciate it." She offers with a friendly tone. Actually if anyone tried to hurt her they would be surprised to say the least, this girl can fight back with the best of them in more ways then one.

—-

"No need to thank me." Mignonette finishes with her pasta, and then turns to putting away the last of the pizza. "Did you want to get anything else for home, before we head back to the car?" Once everything's away, she then turns to stack the plates and silverware neatly, in order to make it easier to bus the table, "Maybe for your boyfriend?" She doesn't know their schedule after all, but she hasn't been relationship less long enough to forget some things.

—-

Andra shakes her head at this. "No, its alright.. I don't think his coming over to the apartment to night or anything." If he does well she is sure there is stuff at home for him to munch on. "We can go when ever your ready."

—-

Well, once everything is as in order as she can make it, Mignonette rises to her feet, gathering up the two takeout boxes, but she waits, out of politeness, for Andra to go first, "He's parked just down the block, in front of the jewelry store. Being closed, it won't matter if there's a car just sitting there, she hopes.

—-

Andra nods while moving on to the door, opening it for Mignonette. "Alrightly.. That's not to far." This said while she shoulders her bag while waiting for Mig to exit. Once this is done she moves over and unlocks her bike from the bike rack.

—-

"Thank you," Mignonette offers as she steps through the door, before she sets down the boxes, leaning them more like, while she pulls back out her cell, speed dialing, "Alex, can you come get us at the pizza parlour?" she clicks off, either not waiting for his answer, or having received a quick one, "He should be here in a moment."

—-

Andra smiles and nods while glancing up at the sky that is quickly starting to turn into night. "Its amazing how fast it turns to night once the sun is nearly fully set." She shakes her head slightly at the thought.

—-

"I used to think it was the most beautiful part of the day, dusk, just as night was falling. As if the whole world was falling asleep." The tone of her voice indicates that that isn't the case any longer, but before she can continue, the SUV pulls up, and Mignonette goes to the back too, to pull it open, calling in, "Pop the back, would you?" The sound of the lock disengaging comes quickly after, even as she sets the boxes down on the seat, pushing them over to the driver side, to leave the passenger side open for Andra.

—-

Andra pauses as she hears the other. "I'm sorry.. I should have never brought it up." This said softly while she wheels her bike around to the back of the car and ones it unlocked she opens it and pulls her bike into the care careful not to hit against anything on the car in the process. With the bike in she closes the back and then clambers up into the passenger side door after opening it. "Thanks for the ride again.."

—-

"It can't rain all the time." Such is Mignonette's answer to Andra's apology, before she continues, "Don't live your life afraid, Andra." Her advice is sound, even if she isn't quite taking it herself. But for now, the car is secured and the cargo, and Mignonette settles into the passenger seat, moving carefully, as she sets herself against the special backrest designed to support her back but not allow it to touch anything, and buckles herself in. "Winters. we need to make one delivery, and then we can head to Andra's." Alex only nods, checking his rearview to make certain Andra's settled, before he pulls out into traffic and the trio are on their way.

—-

Andra clicks the seatbelt on while she looks to Mignonette at the don't live life afraid comment. "I try not to.." She's had plenty of reasons to live afraid, especially in her past. Lately here she can't think of a reason to do so at least.

—-

The ride to the Winters residence is smooth and without incident, the traffic in that almost slow period between the end of rush hour and the start of being going out and about on their evening activities, "You're too young to grow up that way, Andra. No one should have to, especially when they have friends around." It doesn't take all the long, before they're finally pulling up into the driveway of the mansion Mrs Winters is trying very hard to get in the divorce.

—-

Andra chews on her lip slightly at the conversation.. She still lives her life rather afraid at times, though only because of what she is not because of what happens around her. She doesn't know what would happen if someone found out she was a witch after all. As they pull up the driveway Andy blinks at the sight and peers up at the house. "Woah.." Is said at the sight. "I know.. An its good to have friends around that will help. I just have to get use to that again.."

—-

"It gets easier in time, you'll see." The comment is said softly, but no less honestly for all of its lack of volume. "if we're lucky, the butler will answer the door." Alex looks back from his place in the driver's seat, trying to catch Andra's eye in the rearview, "Want me to handle it?"

—-

Andra shakes her head. "Naw I got it." She offers while taking on the envelope and then opens the door. With the door open she hopes out and closes it before heading on up to the front door. She gives the door a quick knock while her gaze drifts this way and that a few moments.

—-

Fortune favours the bold…or is that fortune rewards the timid, well, whichever, it is indeed Mr. Carmichael who answers the door, the Winter's trusty butler. He's polite and efficient, as he pushes the door open far enough to allow the light from the room beyond to shine on Andra, "May I help you, Miss?"

—-

Andra is bold to a degree it seems. A smile is offered to the butler while she holds up the envelope. "I have this for Mrs. Winters. I'm Andra from the Savoy Law Firm. Sorry its getting to you at this hour but it couldn't be helped." She's very polite about it.

—-

Mr. Carmichael offers the young lady a polite, professional smile, as he reaches out a hand to accept the package, "Thank you for going out of your way to make the delivery. Mrs. Winters will be pleased." His rather dour expression is a clear indication that he's more than well aware that the woman is never pleased about anything, "I will be sure to relay her thanks to the firm, and note your dedication in making the delivery."

—-
Andra lets Mr. Carmichael take the envelope and nods. "Thank you.. An have a good night." This said with a slight wave before she turns and moves back to the car that is some distance away. With the door pulled open she hops up into it once more before closing the door. "All delivered and done."

—-

The butler returns the wave, before the door is politely closed, once he sees the young woman has made it back into the SUV, "We got off lucky with that one." And well Mignonette should know. She's the only one in the office Mrs. Winters has allowed to work on her case. Needless to say, it's stressful. "Alright, let's see if we can get you back home before our carriage turns into a pumpkin."

—-

Andra chuckles softly at this. "Well.. Lets hope it doesn't turn into a pumpkin. It'll be a tight fit with all three of us in a pumpkin after all.

—-

"Could you imagine trying to get all of those seeds out of our hair?" Mignonette's laughter is rich, and full, as the SUV pulls back out of the driveway, and after a moment to allow traffic to pass, they're back on the road and heading towards Andra's apartment. Yes, they know where you live. Scary much? Nah.
