Biography

Note
Most of the following information should be considered OOC information unless you have asked about. Details about what happened to his arm are reasonably easy to learn, details about what he is and where he comes from are less so. Please ask before assuming that you know anything about this character's past. Many thanks!

Character Details

Jed is generally a pretty affable guy, but with a sarcastic Southern edge to his humor and address. He tends to curse a lot, he tends to speak his mind, but he's always very polite to ladies even to the point of opening doors and holding out chairs for them. His mamma raised him right. He's still not completely at peace with his injury, blaming himself for the death of his
friends and resentful of the injury which lost him so much for so long. On days when his hand and arm are hurting him, however, Jed can be downright cantankerous and generally is smart enough to close up shop on those days and either head out of town in his beat up old fishing truck or sit up on the roof of his building and sunbathe.

In general Jed does his best to avoid vampires. He doesn't like 'em much, certainly doesn't trust 'em, and they certainly don't need any more magical help so he's not inclined to do them any favors or tattoos. He's not a religious sort of man, so he can't quite get behind the whole Fellowship of the Sun agenda, but in his opinion that with only a few exceptions the only good vampire is a dead vampire. As for other supernaturals, Jed is pretty much okay with them. The two-natured remind him of home and the woods and the balance of nature. In truth, he's a mite bit jealous of them, especially shifters.

Jed isn't modest so much as accepting of who and what he is. He doesn't think he's the best tattoo inker around and he certainly doesn't think of himself as a powerful witch, even if he is very strong. He has a strong work ethic and believes that he's only as good as the work that he does. That's why he goes out of his way to make his protective spells the best that they can be … for the money, of course. While Jed certainly doesn't have the desire to do anyone harm, lessin' they be asking for it, he isn't a philanthropist either. But he does have a soft spot for a damsel in distress.

Relationships

Paige Witch "Niece" Though unrelated by blood, Jed often calls Paige his 'niece' or refers to himself as her 'uncle'. She is the daughter he never had.
